A teeth impression done in 3D will be created and custom-made aligners will be generated specifically for you. A computer image can also show you what the progress of your treatment will look like.

The clear, removable aligners are then placed on your teeth and must be worn for a minimum of twenty hours a day and are worn for approximately a two week period. At that time they will be changed out for the next set. With Invisalign your treatment time will be reduced and you will experience less pressure on your teeth.

Maximizing Treatment

To maximize your Invisalign treatment, it is imperative that you follow your orthodontist’s instructions. The aligners must be worn for at least twenty hours per day and left in for about two weeks. It is important to make sure that they are switched out at the appropriate times.

Following treatment, a retainer will likely be used to make sure that your teeth remain in their correct place and are stable. Like the aligners, instructions for the use of the retainer should be followed closely.
